for celebrating children's happiness and to respect their individuality

 "Koi nobori (colourful carp banners)" is a famous symbol to celebrate "Children's day".

and eating "Kashiwa mochi (rice cake wrapped in an oak leaf)" on the day is tradition

Tanabata -The Star Festival-

Evening on 7th July is Tanabata in Japan.
Its origins are in a legend about the Cowherd Star (Altair) and Weaver Star (Vega),
lovers separated by the Milky Way.
They can meet only once a year on the 7th July.

We write our wishes on narrow strips of colored paper and hang them,
along with other paper ornaments, on bamboo branches,
then pray hard that their and our wishes will come true ;p

Hanami (cherry blossom viewing)

 Hanami party is having a party under cherry trees.

people love cherry blossoms but of course love eating and drinking as well ;p

so I made tiny tiny hanami bento box ( ´∀`)

In Japanese say Hana yori Dango (enjoying eating and drinking rather than viewing blooms)
